was testing walls in a section of the dungeon when I encountered a group. They said their name was the Dimly Lit. Not the most auspicious name, but they were here, so I decided there was safety in numbers. Especially since the room was filled with stirges bodies. There was a door that revealed spider webs with occupants. Bancroft said a weird word, and Anister said to drag dead bodies in to feed them as a gesture of good will. They hissed. I dragged in a person's body, thinking it might be a better offering. We searched the main room while giving the spiders time to eat. We gave them more stirges bodies to eat. After another round poking at the alcoves, Charlotte pointed out one, and Anister found a diamond ring.

We checked on the spiders again and brought more stirges bodies. No sound from above. Anister said they were sleeping. Then Bancroft ran into a web and there was hissing and bodies dropped from the ceiling. We all missed attacks, so we backed out the door to let them eat more stirges and go back to sleep. A group of large half naked humans came in, the leader in a metal mask, and said he wanted to buy Charlotte and any humans. I refused the offer to sell. We aren't slavers, we don't sell people. Bancroft was around a corner, so the leader couldn't see him. Anister lied and said the humans were behind the spider door, hoping they'd go in there, get attacked, and we could leave, then come back and loot whatever was behind the webs.
